Where is this Callsign from?
Allows users to look up a callsign on QRZ.com via a small and simple interface.
No longer do you need a huge Web Browser open on your screen to look up a callsign. Just run
this program to get the data you need in a simple and easy to use way. Once you use it you will love it!
NEWS
Due to changes in the way QRZ.com now operates, Callgit is not working.
QRZ now requires a Login to get the address information of any callsign you lookup.
Adding a Login feature to Callgit makes the program MUCH more complicated. I now
have to deal with cookies instead of just displaying data. I will work on this in
my spare time. It has always been a 'Spy vs. Spy' game with QRZ. It is just going
to take a while for me to find a solution.
Oct 2011 UPDATE: I am working on Callgit 4.0 and I am making good progress. I can login
and get the callsign data (address). Even so, there is a limit to how many queries you can
make in 24 hours. If you become a member the limit is lifted. It will not affect Callgit.
But if you have a limit you won't see the details for any callsigns you look up past the limit
in 24 hour period. (I think the limit is 100 or 150) In fact I am locked out now. I am
waiting for timer to expire so I can test some more. So I wrote this.
There are not a lot of callsign database web pages that contain the entire world's
callsign data. QRZ is the biggest one I know of. And it's free
to use. Thank goodness!
